Terms & Conditions:

Conferencing and Teambuilding:

  • A 50% deposit is required on booking your conference and/or teambuilding event, with the full balance payable 48 hours prior to the event.
  • Please note that your conference or teambuilding event is not confirmed until the 50% deposit has been received.
  • Number of delegates/participants attending must be confirmed 5 working days prior to conference or teambuilding event.
  • Non-arrival of delegates will be charged for.
  • Any additional charges such as copies, faxes, beverages or any other services supplied will be charged for separately.
  • Your 50% deposit will be forfeited in the event of a cancellation if cancellation occurs less than 14 working days prior to your conference or teambuilding event.

Functions:

  • Venue hire is for a 8-hour duration, but not extending after 24h00
  • Venue hire commences 1 hour prior to the function
  • Overtime will be charged at a rate of R2,000 per hour or part thereof

    The following items are excluded from the above function packages:

    • Table centrepieces Flower arrangements
    • Flower vases Décor and draping
    • Overlays Photographer
    • Musicians and DJ Table seating plans
    • Beverages other than welcoming drinks

Payment terms:

  • R 3,000.00 venue hire damage deposit payable immediately to secure your booking.
  • 90 Days prior to your function, 50% of the quoted price is payable.
  • 30 Days prior to your function, balance is payable in full.

    Cancellations:

    Regrettably there is no refund payable in the event of a cancellation and therefore the entire amount paid to date will be forfeited.

Please take note of the following:

  • The cost of your function is based on the menu selected
  • A minimum of 80 guests are required for a Saturday during the months of September to March
  • A 10% service fee applies to any selected menu package
  • Please make provision for a 10% increase for functions in 2011
  • Our function packages are set packages and therefore non-negotiable.
  • All functions over 150 pax will be quoted on separately.
  • Should you wish to hire a marquee, hiring, transport and installation costs will be payable by the client and quoted on separately.
  • We regret no confetti is allowed for celebratory functions.
  • Hakunamatata does its own catering and therefore does not allow outside caterers, except for Halaal and Kosher meals, in which event a separate quotation will be provided (except when booking of venue only).
  • Hakunamatata is a licensed establishment - regrettably we cannot allow drinks of any nature to be brought onto the premises.

Indemnity:

The staff and management of Hakunamatata do not accept liability for any injury, damage, death or loss of property, or inconvenience due to power failure or acts of God or any other eventuality whatsoever whether negligent or otherwise.
